Our Mission

Originally incorporated as Remington Associates in 1996 and later rebranded as Halock Security Labs. Reorganized in 2007 as a hybrid services firm, the new Halock Security Labs is capable of addressing both the strategic and technical security needs of its clients.

Purpose Driven Security™ is Halock's unique service philosophy that derives solutions from its client's strategy or Information Security Policy. Halock applies its philosophy systematically; first identifying all of the client's security requirements and developing an appropriate strategy and Information Security Policy. Halock then assesses a client's ability to meet those requirements. Only after these steps have been taken can Halock help determine appropriate controls for meeting the gaps. Halock educates and enable clients to build and maintain their own Information Security Program. The entire process literally defines Purpose Driven Security™.

Halock's two partners, Terry Kurzynski and Jeremy Simon are both practicing security and audit professionals with over 30 combined years experience in the field. In fact, Halock's entire consulting and engineering team is required to be Certified Information Systems Security Professionals as a baseline, with additional specialty skills and certifications including Qualified Security Assessor, Certified Information Systems Auditor, and Certified Ethical Hacker.
